The Beef Cattle sector:

Milk-fed calf:

Serval supports farmers rearing milk-fed calves. This production consists of feeding calves with whole milk. Serval offers a whole milk supplement that balances nutritional intake for this type of production.

Main breeds: Normande

Suckler calf:

Serval offers a product that meets the criteria of the Label Rouge specifications for this type of production. As the cow may not necessarily have enough milk to feed the calf during the desired period, the breeder can choose to supplement the feed at the end of the cycle with a specific product (Label Finition) to better finish the calf.

Main breeds: Limousin, Blonde d’Aquitaine

Weaned Rearing calf:

Some mothers do not have enough milk or may reject their young at birth. In this case, a milk replacer allows the calf to be fed with a balanced ration.

Main breeds: Charolais, Blonde d’Aquitaine

Veal calf:

Many breeders want to raise their own calves themselves without access to sufficient milk quantities for this type of production. Serval manufactures milk replacers that are specifically formulated for this type of production.

Main breeds: Holstein, Montbéliarde, crossbreeds

The Cattle – Milk sector:

Replacement of dairy heifers:

Many breeders want to optimise their rate of milk production. Milk replacers enable them to achieve this while continuing to feed their future dairy cows in an optimal way.

Main breeds: Holstein, Montbéliarde, Normande

The Goat meat sector:

Meat kid goats:

Goat milk production leads to the birth of a large number of young kid goats. Not all of them can be kept to renew the herd. To optimise this sector some farmers have become specialised in the production of kid goats intended to be sold as meat. These productions have strong export opportunities. The animals cannot always be bred on the farm, in which case the farmer can use milk replacers to ensure the animals are properly fed.

Main breeds: Saanen, Alpine

The Dairy Goat sector:

Replacement female goat:

Many breeders want to optimise their rate of milk production. Milk replacers enable them to achieve this while continuing to feed their future dairy goats in an optimal way.

Main breeds: Saanen, Alpine

The Meat Sheep sector:

Meat lambs:

Depending on the race, prolificacy can sometimes be very high. In some cases, the mother will not have enough milk to feed twin or triplet lambs. In this case, a milk replacer is a way for the farmer to better feed his animals in order to keep them and reduce the mortality rate.

Main breeds: Ile de France, Charolais, Rouge de l’Ouest, Vendéen, Bleu du Maine, Avranchin, Texel, Romanov, Suffolk

The Milk Sheep sector:

Replacement ewes:

Many breeders want to optimise their rate of milk production. Milk replacers enable them to achieve this while continuing to feed their future dairy sheep in an optimal way.

Main breeds: Lacaune, Manech, Basco-Béarnaise, Assaf
